Special Report: Navigating the 4th of July with Food Allergies

Client: My Kids Food Allergies, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and encouraging parents of children with food allergies and sensitivities.

Role: Creative director, writer, editor

Tools: Adobe Creative Suite

Overview: As the 4th of July approached, the client wanted to create a helpful guide for its followers to navigate parties, potlucks, and meals with friends, families, and schools. Working with the client, my team and I researched and developed the content, layout, and final publication as a downloadable eBook and printed booklet.

Development and reception

I was fortunate that the client had expansive resources, including best practices, recipes, and extensive contacts for parents whose children experienced food sensitivities. My team and I discovered what parents experienced during meals and celebrations on the 4th of July through survey data.

I led a team of writers and designers to develop this digital and printed marketing informational piece. As of July 2022, more than 8,500 people have downloaded this guide and used it to ensure a safe and pleasant celebration for themselves and their children.
